What are Calories

Calories are a measurement of how much energy you receive from food. When you exercise or do any physical activity your body uses calories to fuel itself for energy. However if you consume more calories then you burn off the remaining calories stay in your body and get turned into fat.

What is Protein

Proteins are amino acids which are important to create the process of muscle protein synthesis (When new muscle tissue is built). When you exercise your create small muscle tears, so when you consume a high amount of protein your muscles will repair them selfs faster. This is important for muscle growth as the faster they repair the more often you can train them.
